FAQs

The following are the most frequently asked questions, but if you still have further concerns or queries, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

How many treatments will I need?

That depends on specific factors to your case including:

  • what your condition is
  • the severity and how long you have had it
  • how you respond to treatment
  • If you follow the advice given to you by your chiropractor.

Each person’s treatment plan is different; the chiropractor will tailor your treatment plan specifically to you. Most people will see an improvement within 1-2 weeks, and will then see the chiropractor less frequently as the condition improves.

Do I need to contact my GP?

No, Chiropractic is a primary healthcare profession, which means that you can get an appointment with your chiropractor simply by phoning them up.

Is Chiropractic covered by private health insurance?

Most health insurance companies cover chiropractic these days.
It is best to check with your insurance company before you start treatment.

Is Chiropractic care safe?

Chiropractic spinal adjustments are extremely safe when performed by a properly qualified chiropractor. Your Chiropractor is trained to recognise conditions which require referral elsewhere, and they can treat you even after surgery.

Chiropractic treatment is usually pain-free, unless an area is inflamed. Our treatments will be modified to correspond with every patient’s needs, to ensure the most practical and comfortable experience.

After the first treatment the patient may feel stiff or tired, but this is a natural response to spinal manipulation.

Is it suitable for me?

Chiropractic is suitable for many different problems, but if you are not sure, you can contact Ben for expert advice about your condition.
